Between late 1871 and 1900 the Brownfield factory produced just over 7,000 different porcelain patterns. In addition there were over four hundred shapes of porcelain figures.

Patterns 1-1900 (approx) will be found unmarked in their initial production run. This covers the period October 1871 to October 1877.  Marks including 'Brownfield' and a month and year date (10/80=October 1880) began in October 1877.

Porcelain exported to America invariably has printed factory marks and a pattern name.
