The Peake family originates from Burslem, less than two miles from the Brownfield factory in Staffordshire.   A retired history teacher, I now live in the English West Country with my wife and dog.

The Brownfield 'bug' first bit me twenty four years ago when my wife inherited an 1883 Mistletoe jug from a great aunt. Other jugs were bought to keep it company, then some earthenware plates, then some porcelain.....  In my retirement researching the Brownfield factory provided me with an ideal, if addictive and obsessive, hobby.  I have met some wonderful collectors and seen impressive collections, and after more than twenty years the interest remains as great as ever.

I am always keen to hear from other ceramics enthusiasts all over the world, and will do my best to answer any queries relating to the Brownfield pottery factory.  Please use the feedback form to contact me with any questions or comments.

I also enjoy sharing my expertise and enthusiasm with groups, and am very happy to talk to collectors' clubs and other societies.  Costs vary according to size of group and travelling distance.

Please use the feedback form to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I can to discuss possibilities.
